A community-building initiative to bring together “WV Friends of German” in the greater Morgantown area and beyond supporting German language and cultural activities.

Oktoberfest 2007 Impressions
The third "Oktoberfest meets Morgantown" took place on 7 October from 11:00-4:00 p.m. in Krepps Park. The event was organized with the help of Bethany College, Morgantown HS, South MS, University HS, WVU German Department, WVU German Club, and West Virginia Friends of German volunteers. The Oktoberfest attracted 200 people of all ages who love the German language and cultures. The event offered a variety of activities for children and adults including a soccer tournament between high-school and university students, a puppet show, German music, and foods from the German speaking countries.

| Auf unserem Piraten-Rummel konnten die Kinder viele verschiedene Aktivitäten erleben und viel Spass haben: Boot bauen, Piratenhut und Augenklappe basteln, Schatzsteine bemalen, Schatzkarten gestalten und Dosenzielwerfen.
The Pirate Fairground offered craft projects including boot building, pirate hats, eye patches, treasure stones and maps, and tin can tossing. |

Soccer competition - Fussballturnier - MHS, UHS and WVU Student Teams competed for the first place. This year's resut: WVU Italian and WVU German teams tied for 1st place, 2nd went to UHS, and 3rd place to MHS - congratulations! |
